Acapulco Nights 4/10/15, Studebaker Hawk

Studebaker Hawk is going Wild Style this week, in honor of his Wild Style party at the Platinum Pony in Easthampton, MA. On April 10, he showed the classic hip hop movie Wild Style, and spun a night of old school b-boy jams. For hour 1 it's hip hop and breaks, with hour 2 blending music from the movie.

Acapulco Nights 3/27/15, Guest Len Bias, and Studebaker Hawk

Friend of the show Len Bias is back on the airwaves, with a killer mix of dubbed out disco and house. Len is the owner of the label Alliance Upholstery, who's looking forward to their sophomore 12" release, coming this summer. For hour two Studebaker Hawk takes over and goes balearic.

Acapulco Nights 3/20/15, Studebaker Hawk, LëKSs, and JayMe, Back To Back, Live from Pomegranate at Oma in Hong Kong

This week we're continuing to bring you live from Pomegranate. Pomegranate is every third Thursday of the month at Oma in Central, Hong Kong. Pomegranate residents LëKSs, Selekta Sève, and The Groove Thief present one of the most interesting nights in Hong Kong. Diving into genres typically overlooked in the Hong Kong scene, afrobeat, reggae, latin, funk, soul, and other wild stuff from around the world. On March 5, they invited out Studebaker Hawk and Hong Kong's own DJ Doctor DJ JayMe. This show airs the last two hours of the night when Studebaker Hawk, LëKSs, and DJ JayMe were going back to back, throwing jams off each other. Live from Hong Kong baby!

Acapulco Nights 3/13/15, Studebaker Hawk and JayMe, Live from Pomegranate at Oma in Hong Kong

Over the next few weeks we're bringing you excerpts from the great night we had in Hong Kong at Pomegranate. Pomegranate is every third Thursday of the month at Oma in Central, Hong Kong. Pomegranate residents LëKSs, Selekta Sève, and The Groove Thief present one of the most interesting nights in Hong Kong.
