Acapulco Nights 10/24/14, Studebaker Hawk, tribute to Massada

For hour one Studebaker Hawk drops heavy synth bombs. Then for hour two, he presents a tribute to the Dutch band Massada. The band put out 4 LPs and a live album in the late 70s and early 80s. They found success in Holland, though minimal success in the rest of the world. They were heavily influenced by Santana, though also brought in elements from the indigenous music from their Moluccan heritage, and the disco that was popular at the time. Fans of heavy percussion, big guitar, latin grooves, and disco bombs, will all find gems in Massada's catalog. Studebaker Hawk plays his favorites from their discography.
